The creators of "Corsairs: Black Mark" showed a "gameplay" prototype of the game - the official website was launched

Black Sun Game Publishing has published a video with a “gameplay” prototype of Corsairs: The Black Mark, whose crowdfunding campaign failed miserably in 2018.

The three-minute teaser shows an intro video with a touch of QTE elements: during the boarding of an enemy ship, with the help of timely button presses, the player can inspire his team, fire a cannon and finish off the enemy.

In the description of the prototype on YouTube, the authors promise that the shown version of the project is far from final, and "textures, character animations, etc. will be significantly improved in the development process."

The voice acting in the teaser is in Russian, while the English version was uploaded to the video hosting back in April, but was hidden behind access by reference. Thus, the video was ready eight months ago.

Simultaneously with the premiere of the prototype, the launch the official site Corsairs: Black Mark, which has been in production since August 2018. In addition to concept art and developers' promises, the portal has a project support page.

The ultimate goal of the failed crowdfunding campaign "Corsairs: Black Label" were 360 ​​million rubles. This time, the authors do not disclose their requests, but offer sets for purchase from 309 rubles to 619 thousand rubles.

The most expensive bundle, in addition to the digital version of Corsairs: The Black Mark and a bunch of in-game bonuses (including custom ones), includes themed paraphernalia, elements of a pirate wardrobe, and a meeting with developers.

As for the game itself, Corsairs: The Black Mark promises character personalization, a “clear and deep” role-playing system, historical realism with the “cruelty and depravity” inherent in the era, and the ability to build your own ship.

The plot tells about the fate of the hero, who was forced to embark on the path of piracy. Users will determine the image of the protagonist themselves: no one forbids robbing and killing for their own enrichment, but sometimes you should not forget about nobility either.

According to the information on the official website, "Corsairs: Black Mark" is being created for PC (Steam), PS4 and Xbox One. Some members of the team of the past parts of the Corsairs take part in the production.
