This program is developed for state-owned companies and is a kind of analogue of the Chinese WeChat. At the same time, it is curious that it allegedly involves only domestic crypto-algorithms. Whether this is true or not is unclear, but the application is already available for iOS and Android. By the way, it was downloaded about 500 times on Google Play. Perhaps this is due to the upcoming release - the application will hit the market in the fall.
The Central Bank is in no hurry to comment on the situation. They only stated that “the possibility of payments to SBP via instant messengers was initially included in the concept of the system.” At the moment, the possibilities are being studied, but there are no details.
It is also not clear on what basis Seraphim operates. Whether it is a fork of the same Telegram or a completely proprietary development is unknown. By the way, the implementation of payment systems in instant messengers is a popular topic for development. It's on WeChat in China and promised on Telegram and Facebook Messenger. However, the choice of such a little-known application seems strange, to say the least.
