Chrome will introduce "percentage" scrolling and improve the sound

Microsoft is developing not only its Edge browser, but also helping to develop the Chromium platform. This contribution has helped Edge and Chrome equally, and the company is currently works over several other improvements.

Chrome will introduce "percentage" scrolling and improve the sound

In particular, this is "percentage" scrolling for Chromium in Windows 10. At the moment, all "chrome" web browsers scroll the visible part of the web page by a fixed number of pixels. In the new version, it is proposed to change this to a percentage of the visible area, which will make scrolling similar to the EdgeHTML engine.

This change has already been proposed for Chromium and may be implemented in Google Chrome in the future.

Another innovation will be the improvement of the sound in the browser. Microsoft is working on audio support for the MediaSteam API, which will improve audio quality during calls, meetings, chats, group calls, and more. This already exists in Windows, Android and iOS. The bottom line is that when you call through the messenger, the rest of the sounds are muffled. This allows the user not to be distracted during the conversation.

It is not yet specified when these changes will arrive in the release, or at least in an early version of Canary.
