In Russia, it is proposed to legislate the concept of a digital profile

to the State Duma introduced draft law “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts (in Part of Clarification of Identification and Authentication Procedures)”.

The document introduces the concept of "digital profile". It is understood as a set of "information about citizens and legal entities contained in the information systems of state bodies, local authorities and organizations exercising certain public powers in accordance with federal laws, as well as in a unified system of identification and authentication."

The bill provides for the creation of a digital profile infrastructure. It will allow the exchange of information in electronic form between individuals, organizations, government agencies, as well as local governments.

The digital profile, among other things, will make it possible to generate requests for state and municipal services, as well as to identify and authenticate individuals and legal entities.

In addition, the new bill defines the requirements for the identification and authentication of citizens.
