Radio became available in smart speakers with Alice

The company "Yandex" announced that users of "smart" devices with intelligent voice assistant "Alice" can now listen to the radio.

We are talking about such smart gadgets as Yandex.Station, as well as Irbis A and DEXP Smartbox. All of these devices are equipped with a Wi-Fi wireless adapter to connect to the Internet wirelessly.

It is reported that dozens of radio stations are available in smart speakers with "Alice". To start listening to broadcasts, just say: "Alice, turn on 91,2" or "Alice, turn on the radio Maximum." In the second case, the intelligent assistant will determine where the user is and find the local version of the radio station.

You can also change stations using voice commands. So, it is enough to say “Next” or “Previous”, after which “Alice” will find the station closest in frequency.

If you do not name a specific station, the voice assistant will launch a random one or turn on the one that the person has listened to before. In addition, Alice is able to answer the question of which radio stations are currently available.

We also add that with the help of Yandex.Station, you can watch Yandex.Air TV channels - this opportunity appeared at the end of last year. More than 140 TV channels are now available, including about 20 Yandex channels.
