Wargaming is celebrating the anniversary of World of Tanks. Almost 9 years ago, on August 12, 2010, a game was released that conquered millions of gamers in Russia, the countries of the former Soviet Union and beyond. In honor of the event, the developers have prepared a "Tank Festival", which will begin on August 6 and last until October 7.
During the Tank Festival period, users will have access to unique tasks, the opportunity to earn an in-game ticket and receive rewards, including components of a personal badge that will be seen by defeated opponents. Available only during the festival, exclusive property can be obtained by collecting all the components and giving away tickets.
“We have been working on the creation of the Tank Festival program for a long time,” said Maxim Chuvalov, World of Tanks Publishing Director. - Players are in for the long-awaited return of Tank Races and the all-new Steel Hunter mode. And a large number of awards guarantees a festive mood for all participants of the festival!”.
From August 9 to August 19, a series of tasks "Czech Holidays" opens in World of Tanks. Players will be able to collect many blueprint fragments for the Czech tech tree, get a 3D style for the premium Tier VIII Škoda T 27 tank, and other rewards.
In mid-August, the seventh episode of "Front Line" will be launched. The eighth - in mid-September. Each episode lasts a week, during which players fight in 30 vs 30 battles on a huge 9 km2 map and only Tier VIII vehicles. In the eighth episode, a new map will appear - the neighborhood of a European city after World War II, with open areas, small settlements and destroyed houses.
The best participants of the eighth episode will be able to get the American Tier IX AE Phase I heavy tank with a built-in repair kit.
For the end of August, Wargaming has reserved the Steel Hunter event. Participants will find themselves in the mystical "Area 404". Actions on it unfold in unpredictable conditions. Players will need to not only kill opponents, but also explore the location.
Finally, at the end of September, players will see the return of Tank Races. The event will last for two weeks.
World of Tanks is available shareware on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
