Update 0.8.9 is timed to coincide with the Halloween celebration, which means that the familiar Operations Save Transylvania and Ray in the Dark will return. These quests are available now, while the second part of the celebration will be launched on October 30th (and will last until November 27th). In the second stage, you will get a new game mode "Raid for the Filth": in it you will fight otherworldly forces and each other, while your ships will turn from ordinary, created by human hands, into giant sea monsters.

The ships mentioned above are the first researchable branch of the Italian fleet. Players will have early access to the cruisers Raimondo Montecuccoli (Tier V), Trento (Tier VI), Zara (Tier VII) and Amalfi (Tier VIII). β€œThe new cruisers are distinguished by good maneuverability and are equipped with powerful 203mm cannons on ships of Tier VI and above,” the developers explain. The new mechanics are: semi-armor-piercing shells, which combine the properties of both armor-piercing and high-explosive shells, as well as a full-range smoke generator that can hide a ship without the need to slow down.

β€œThe game event will allow you to receive special rewards, including event containers and a temporary resource - Italian tokens that can be exchanged in the Armory for permanent and expendable camouflages, signals, premium account days, credits, random item sets or event containers from which you can get combat challenge for early access to Italian cruisers,” Wargaming said in a statement. β€œFinally, players will be able to admire their ships in the all-new Port of Taranto.” You can read more about the update at Online
