Valve presented the new 2th hero, Void Spirit, at the Dota 119 World Championship. As the name suggests, it will be the fourth spirit in the game. It currently has Ember Spirit, Storm Spirit and Earth Spirit.
Void Spirit has come from the void and is ready to fight the enemies. At the presentation, the character conjured himself a double-sided glaive, which hints at a melee type of attack. Perhaps he will be made in the style of Monkey King - he will fight in close combat, but the strike range will be much higher than most similar heroes. In addition, he created a portal, thanks to which he was transported from the void to The International 2019. Perhaps this is also a hint at one of the character’s abilities, but since the game already has Underlord with a mass teleport, the mechanics of the skill will probably be different.
In addition, on August 23, the company showed another new character - Snapfire. According to the lore of the game, this is Aunt Timbersaw, who rides a lizard, more like a dragon without wings. She is armed with a gun, and her dragon lizard is armed with a machine gun, which hints at a long-range type of combat.
Both characters will appear in Dota 2 and Dota Underlords in the fall of 2019, along with The Outlanders update.
The International 2019 ends today. The winner will receive over $15,5 million, with a total prize pool of over $34 million.
