Video: OnePlus 7 Pro touch screen false alarms

One of the main advantages of the flagship smartphone OnePlus 7 Pro is the presence of a display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The device went on sale and some users started reporting an issue that was described as "ghost touches". We are talking about false positives of the touch screen, which responds to pressing, even if the user does not interact with the device.

On the official website of the manufacturer and in some user communities, there are more and more messages from people who have encountered this problem. "Ghost touches" are reported to occur whether the user presses the screen or not. Apparently, the problem is not global, but a significant number of OnePlus 7 Pro owners have encountered it.

User reports say that sometimes false positives of the display last for several seconds, and in other cases they can last for a long time. A good tool for detecting false display positives is the CPU-Z application. One user noted that when running a quick test with the CPU-Z application, the notification bar was lowered several times. When performing the same actions on the Pixel 3 XL, nothing of the kind was noticed.

At the moment, it is not known whether the problem of "ghost touches" is hardware in nature or whether it can be eliminated at the software level. OnePlus has not yet commented on the situation.
