IGN has shared an exclusive cinematic trailer for The Surge 2 from Deck 13. It shows the storyline, the closed city that the protagonist got into, battles and a huge monster.
The beginning of the video shows the launch of a spaceship with people on board. The transport is wrecked by a storm, and the protagonist, as the description says, wakes up in an abandoned prison in an unknown city controlled by soldiers. The protagonist states: βTime is a luxury I donβt have.β The footage of the disaster is interrupted by a display of the city: neon lighting everywhere and hostile gangs. The trailer shows fights with people and a spider-like robot.
At the end of the video, a frame is shown where some pointed buildings are frozen in the sky above the city. Apparently, they absorb or reproduce electricity, attracting surrounding objects to them, and the plot about the impending nanite storm is somehow connected with this.
