Video: Summer Games kick off in Overwatch with new skins, challenges and more

Like promised developers Overwatch, the Summer Games seasonal event has returned to competitive team action. This year, participants will earn weekly rewards by winning matches and challenges. This time, skins will be among the rewards.

For example, in the first week, after winning 9 wins in Quick Play, Competitive Play, and Arcade, players can get the American Reaper skin, in the second week, the Zhongguo Mei costume, and in the third week, the Reinhardt skin "Adlerhardt". 3 and 6 wins will also have cosmetic rewards in the form of graffiti and badges.

Lucioball lovers can celebrate as the Summer Games bring back a futuristic version of football to Overwatch, in which two teams of three players each have to score as many balls as they can into the opponent's goal. This time the action will take place not only at the Estadio de Rance stadium in Rio de Janeiro and the Sydney Harbor Arena, but also at the vibrant Busan Stadium.

Of course, there will also be new skins that, along with the old summer items, can be obtained in containers or purchased with in-game currency.
