Early October
Somewhat belatedly, Sony on its Russian-language PlayStation channel shared a video story about the famous game maker’s visit to the Russian capital, his impressions of the Death Stranding presentation and meeting with fans. By the way, the video was voiced by Kirill Zakharchuk, the voice of our weekly GamesBlender video digest.
Mr. Kojima had several stops in Moscow. First, after seeing the sights and taking a ride in the capital's metro, he headed to the Evening Urgant show. Next was the Museum of Modern Art, where he talked about the conceptual side of the game. In particular, the game designer said that he decided to move away from the usual concept of destroying enemies and focus on restoring the world.
The main point on Mr. Kojima’s Moscow tour was, of course, Igromir on Saturday, October 5th. However, fans have already been besieging the Kojima Productions booth since Thursday to buy souvenirs and get passes to events with the participation of the famous game designer. At the show, Mr. Kojima held a closed 40-minute demonstration of the Death Stranding gameplay, and then talked with the audience and moved to the photo zone, where he happily took pictures with fans, was open to communication and even accepted gifts.
After that, it was time for the main event of the day: Hideo Kojima took the exhibition stage along with actor Mads Mikkelsen, who played the role of Cliff in the game. There they talked about the work on the project and the main messages of the new creation. At this moment, the remaining halls of Igromir were practically empty - everyone wanted to see the legendary designer in person.
Finally, Mr. Kojima went to the VKontakte studio and answered questions from users of the social network. In particular, he said that among the sights of Moscow he liked St. Basil's Cathedral the most, and that he was pleasantly surprised by the organization of the exhibition visitors.
Sony also reminded that today you can still pre-order the game at one of the major electronics stores (
