After a recent attempt turning on telemetry GitLab is expected to face some backlash from users.
This forced us to temporarily cancel the changes in the user agreement and take a break in search of a compromise solution.
GitLab has promised not yet to enable telemetry in the GitLab.com cloud service and self-contained editions. In addition, from now on, GitLab intends to first discuss with the community future changes to the rules and listen to the opinions of users.
