English Localization Editor Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Max Hejtmanek stayed without a job at Warhorse Studios because his duties at the studio were entrusted to generative AI.

According to Gejtmanek, on March 27, he was informed without warning that his position would be obsolete starting in April. In order to improve efficiency and save money, "AI will now be used for all translations."
"I feel bitterly betrayed by the management of the company to which I've become so attached over the past almost four years. I'm dejected that I won't be able to see my friends and colleagues in the office every day," Gejtmanek laments.

Gejtmanek recalls that the issue of using AI to translate Warhorse Studios games was raised within the team on several occasions. He openly opposed the idea and feared losing his job over it, but he hoped for the best.
The firing came as a major shock to Geitmanek, as he "naively believed" that his job at Warhorse Studios was "valued enough that it wouldn't be immediately threatened."

It's worth noting that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 director Daniel Vavra openly supports the idea of using AI in game development and has nothing against criticized by gamers DLSS 5 upscaling.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is out on PC (Steam, EGS, GOG), PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and in Game PassSince its release in February 2025, the game has received three story expansions and sold 5 million copies.
