Not long ago there were rumors that Acer is preparing several new entry-level and mid-level gaming laptops that will be included in the Nitro series. Now the VideoCardz resource reports that a closed presentation of new products took place in China, which indirectly indicates their imminent appearance on sale.
As previously reported, Acer's new gaming laptops are built on the recently introduced high-performance Intel Core H-series Coffee Lake Refresh generation mobile processors. The processor models are not specified, so we assume that here we can see Core i5-9300H, Core i5-9400H and Core i7-9750H chips. Acer is unlikely to use more powerful solutions in entry-level and mid-level gaming laptops.
But Acer clarifies the video card models. The most affordable version of the new Nitro with a 15,6-inch display will receive a GeForce GTX 1050 video card. In turn, the remaining 15- and 17-inch models will be able to offer GeForce GTX 1660 Ti or GTX 1650 video cards. Note that mobile versions of these video cards have not yet been released presented, and the latter has not even made its debut in the desktop segment.
Let us immediately remind you that the GeForce GTX 1650 video card should be presented on April 22. It will be built on the Turing TU117 GPU, possibly with 1024 CUDA cores. The accelerator will offer 4 GB of GDDR5 memory with a 128-bit interface and will cost from $179. Note that along with the new product, NVIDIA can also present mobile versions of its GeForce GTX 16 series video cards.
