AMD is preparing at least three more entry-level video cards with Navi 14

Drivers for the Linux operating system regularly become a source of information about upcoming GPUs and video cards. This time, references to five versions of the Navi 14 GPU were found in AMD's driver code, which may indicate that AMD plans to release more video cards on this chip.

At the moment, AMD has introduced two video cards on Navi GPUs: the desktop Radeon RX 5500 and the mobile Radeon RX 5500M, which have a gaming clock speed of 1670 and 1448 MHz, respectively. The desktop Radeon RX 5500 uses the Navi 14 XT chip, and the mobile Radeon RX 5500M uses the Navi 14 XTM.

It is worth noting that the drivers mention Peak clock, although in fact it is the Game Clock. In Navi GPUs, peak frequency is the maximum frequency the GPU can automatically overclock to when running, usually for short periods of time, while game frequency is the average frequency of games.

But let's return to the mentioned Navi 14 chips. It turns out that three of the five GPUs indicated in the drivers have not yet been presented in any video cards. Presumably, Navi 14 XTX will take place in the desktop Radeon RX 5500 XT. Its gaming frequency will be 1717 MHz. It is very likely that this chip is a full version of Navi 14 with 24 Compute Unite (CU). In the Radeon RX 5500, recall, the graphics processor has 22 CUs.

The two remaining GPUs - Navi 14 XL and Navi 14 XLM - will most likely become the desktop Radeon RX 5300 and mobile Radeon RX 5300M, respectively. Or, it will be Radeon RX 5300 XT and Radeon RX 5300M XT. Be that as it may, in the first case the gaming frequency of the chip will be 1448 MHz, while in the second it will be 1181 MHz.

Unfortunately, at the moment it is difficult to say when AMD will introduce new video cards based on Navi 14 GPUs. Perhaps this will happen quite soon.
