This is evidenced by a memo sent to Apple Store employees, which the correspondent of the MacRumors resource managed to get acquainted with.

According to the document, Apple has re-engineered the repair process to be able to fix keyboard-related issues in store rather than sending the device to a third-party repair center.

The memo, titled "How to Support Mac Customers with In-Store Keyboard Repair," also advised Genius Bar technicians to prioritize next business day repairs.

After several years of complaints from laptop owners about problems with the butterfly keyboard, as well as three lawsuits, Apple launched a service program to repair MacBook and MacBook Pro keyboards free of charge, for which the warranty period has expired.

The company also apologized to "a small number of users" who experienced keyboard issues with 2018 laptop models.

Now that the repair time has been reduced from 3-5 business days to 24 hours, the innovation should help discouraged Apple customers resolve MacBook and MacBook Pro keyboard issues as quickly as possible.
