Arch Linux has changed how Linux kernel packages are installed

Arch Linux Developers сообщили about changes in the organization of installing packages with the Linux kernel. All official kernel packages (linux, linux-lts, linux-zen and linux-hardened) will no longer actually install the kernel image in the /boot directory. Installation and removal of kernel images will be done by a script mkinitcpio (hooks for handling kernel install operations are currently only added to mkinitcpio, but will be added to dracut in the future). The change will make the kernel packages more self-sufficient and increase the flexibility of the boot process, while maintaining backward compatibility (transition to a new organization does not require any manual actions from the user).
