The Google Play Points bonus program provides rewards for downloading paid applications

Google is expanding its Play Points rewards program, which launched last year in Japan. Starting this week, users of the Google Play virtual content store in the United States will be able to receive bonuses for purchased applications.

Users will be able to join the bonus program directly from the Google Play store itself. You can earn points by downloading popular applications, the list of which is updated every week. In addition, additional points are given for participation in promotions that are held regularly. In this way, Google encourages users to buy not only games and applications, but also movies, books and other content. Additionally, points earned can be donated to a non-profit charity.

The Play Points program is divided into four levels. The higher your level, the more points you earn for every dollar you spend. At the bronze level, users earn 1 point per $1, while reaching the platinum level will earn 1,4 points per dollar. It is worth noting that the user must maintain a certain level of spending in order for the level achieved in the bonus program to be maintained. Otherwise, there will be a gradual decline even if you managed to reach the platinum level.

We can say that Google, by spreading the bonus program on Google Play, is trying to motivate users to make regular purchases, paying attention not only to games and the application, but also to other content that is not so popular. It is not yet known when the Play Points program will begin operating in other countries.
