Color Picker 1.0 - free desktop palette editor

On New Year's Eve 2020, the team sK1 Project it turned out to still prepare the release of the palette editor Color picker 1.0.

The main functions of the application are color picking with an eyedropper (with a magnifying glass function; optional) of any pixel on the screen, which allows you to get the exact color value from a particular pixel to create your own palettes, as well as the ability to import / export palette files in free (Inkscape, GIMP, LibreOffice, Scribus) and proprietary (Corel, Adobe, Xara) formats.

TIP: When using the eyedropper in magnifying glass mode, you can change the magnification by simply moving the mouse wheel.

The development of this project had two goals:

  • Create a simple and visual, but at the same time functional tool for working with palettes and colors.
  • Sport the base part sK1/UniConvertor on python3.

By and large, the project consists of simplified fragments sK1/UniConvertor, therefore it turned out to be prepared literally in a month already in a mature form. The user interface is written in gtk3+, but the possibility of porting to Qt and other widgets.

We can say that this is a kind of gift to the community for the holidays. With coming!
