A developer with the nickname Vect0R showed what Half-Life could look like using real-time ray tracing technology. He posted a video demonstration on his YouTube channel.

Vect0R said that it took about four months to create a demo. In the process, he used developments from Quake 2 RTX. He also clarified that this video has nothing to do with NVIDIA's program to add ray tracing to old games. The developer stressed that he will limit himself to a demonstration and does not plan to release a full-fledged mod for the game.

Mid-October NVIDIA announced creating a studio to bring ray tracing to classic video games. The list of projects has not yet been disclosed, but, according to journalists, Unreal and Doom 3 may be the first. Before that, the company released corresponding update for Quake II.
