"Is there life after Signor?" or what we will talk about at SECR-2019

Hey Habr!

For each team there are just events, but there are those for which you are preparing especially. For us at Reksoft, this is Software Engineering Conference Russia or SECR, which will be held on November 14-15 in St. Petersburg.

For us, this is not just a hangout of developers, team leads, architects, designers and testers, but practically a home, the very atmosphere of our offices in St. Petersburg, Voronezh and Rostov-on-Don is what we breathe. Only here the office space will expand, and it will be possible to communicate with colleagues from different parts of the country. At last count, there will be more than 700 specialists from various fields. SECR is a great place to learn the latest methodologies, ideas, development trends. We are waiting for communication, a special atmosphere, lamp coffee breaks, dinners and a party.

So, the preparation for SECR for us began with the fact that our colleague, Zurab Bely, Reksoft team leaderjoined the program committee. Of the 158 reports that were submitted to the committee, 100 were selected. Four of them are made by Reksoft from Voronezh! Above is a photo of these wonderful people.

Go! Let's talk about our reports in more detail, perhaps you will decide that it is worth coming to SECR to see us. It's not too late, the registration link is at the bottom of the post.

So on the first day November 14 at 15:45 in the DevOps thread the same one will perform Zurab Bely (he is in the center of the photo). His report "How we went over the engine without stopping the car" is the history of the Reksoft project for S7 airlines. If in his words, then you will have a story about how we rewrote the ancient code on new technologies, abandoned the commercial CMS and did everything not to get bogged down in the abyss of code throughout the entire transition period, and most importantly, the customer was satisfied. Come, ask him about this story in person.

Moving on smoothly at 17:50 to the Education flow hall. There is our colleague Olga Savchenko, Reksoft Human Resources Manager, will tell you all about "An internship in an IT company: how to organize it and get maximum efficiency at minimum cost". Olga will share real experience about what works and what doesn't during internships. All the nuances of organizing an internship were tested at the Reksoft regional development center on students from Voronezh State University. Spoiler: if you want it for free and for PR, there will be no sense. If you need new strength in the team - come to the report, we will tell you in the best possible way.

Now… that's the trouble… two great talks from us, but at the same time…. In the hall stream Education at 18:30, again Zurab Bely will make one of the most anticipated reports of the event with the name "Is there life after Signor?". Many developers, from juniors to seniors, see only one path for their development - management. They plan to move into project managers or become technical leaders. But the IT-sphere is much wider, there are much more development options. You can grow not only by gaining new skills, but also by improving existing ones. It will be interesting not only for beginners, but also for experienced developers who have not yet decided on their destiny or are simply tired of writing code.

Well, another unusual performance November 14 at 18:30 from Sergey Pushkin, Reksoft Java developer, (he is on the right in the photo above) on the topic "Life without ctrl Z and loss of attention at work". Want to end Groundhog Day and learn how to hack your focus? How, using just a few practices of mindful meditation, get out of the circle of routine and stress? The practice of meditation is good for this. It helps to develop concentration, cope with stress and get out of the circle of routine. Sergey will tell you what practices and exercises are, what are their benefits, how they affect work and debunk myths about meditation.

The first day will end with a PARTY!

If you go on the second day15 November) and you are interested in development as a business. Then you in 15:00 to the final discussion of the event on the topic "Trends and prospects for the development of the Russian software development industry based on the results of a study conducted by RUSSOFT in 2019". The permanent Reksoft CEO – Alexander Egorov. By the way, he stood at the origins of development in Russia, launched the Assis payment system and several other successful businesses with his colleagues OZON. It will not be boring.
