Huawei P40 flagships may fall in price to compensate for the lack of Google apps

Over the past two years, Huawei P series smartphones have become real flagships of the Chinese company, which compete with analogues from other manufacturers. According to network sources, Huawei P40 smartphones, which will enter the market this year without Google services and applications, will cost less than usual.

Huawei P40 flagships may fall in price to compensate for the lack of Google apps

Huawei P40 smartphones are of great importance for the Chinese company. The new flagships will be delivered without Google services and applications, so the manufacturer needs to take some steps to attract the attention of buyers. One of these steps could be to reduce the cost of the P40 series devices.

According to an insider known as RODENT950, Huawei P40 series smartphones will cost less than expected at launch. He says that in China, the price of P40 series models will range from $519 to $951 depending on configuration. It is expected that the price of Huawei P40 smartphones in Europe will be about €599 for the basic version and about €799 for a more advanced version. In addition, this year a premium device of the P40 series is expected to appear, the price of which will be €1000.

The camera of last year's flagship Huawei P30 Pro turned out to be one of the best among all smartphones released in 2019. Probably, the future Huawei P40 Pro and Huawei P40 Pro Premium Edition devices will become worthy successors in this regard.

Reducing prices on all flagship P40 series devices could be a smart move, since the manufacturer needs to somehow make up for the lack of Google branded services and applications. Over the past few months, Huawei has been actively working on creating its own ecosystem of mobile applications, which in the future should become an alternative to the analogue from Google. All P40 series smartphones will come with the Chinese company's own services, Huawei Mobile Services.
