Journalists from Nintendo Voice Chat talked to the head of Larian Studios Sven Vincke (Swen Vincke). The conversation touched upon the topic of Baldur's Gate 3 and the possible release of the game on the Nintendo Switch. The director of the studio told why the project, most likely, will not appear on a portable-stationary console.
Sven Vincke commented: “I have no idea what the next iterations of the Nintendo Switch will be like. It will be very problematic to release Baldur's Gate 3 on the current generation of the console, because the game looks much better []. I think it is very, very difficult to accomplish such a task. However, don't say "never". Perhaps we can learn special magic and deal with it. As a Switch fan, I hope that the new version of the device will be three times more powerful.”
Reminder: in early September on a hybrid console from Nintendo Divinity: Original Sin 2 Deluxe Edition. Moreover, the game supports cross-platform saves with the Steam version.
Baldur's Gate 3 is coming to PC and Google Stadia with no release date yet.
