The head of Larian Studios said that Baldur's Gate 3, most likely, will not be released on the Nintendo Switch

Journalists from Nintendo Voice Chat talked to the head of Larian Studios Sven Vincke (Swen Vincke). The conversation touched upon the topic of Baldur's Gate 3 and the possible release of the game on the Nintendo Switch. The director of the studio told why the project, most likely, will not appear on a portable-stationary console.

Sven Vincke commented: “I have no idea what the next iterations of the Nintendo Switch will be like. It will be very problematic to release Baldur's Gate 3 on the current generation of the console, because the game looks much better [Divinity: Original Sin 2]. I think it is very, very difficult to accomplish such a task. However, don't say "never". Perhaps we can learn special magic and deal with it. As a Switch fan, I hope that the new version of the device will be three times more powerful.”

Reminder: in early September on a hybrid console from Nintendo came out Divinity: Original Sin 2 Deluxe Edition. Moreover, the game supports cross-platform saves with the Steam version.

Baldur's Gate 3 is coming to PC and Google Stadia with no release date yet.
