Google to fire 16% of Fuchsia developers

Google has announced massive staff cuts, which resulted in the dismissal of about 12 employees, which is approximately 6% of the total staff. Among other things, there was information that about 400 employees involved in the Fuchsia project were laid off, which corresponds to approximately 16% of the total number of employees involved in work on this OS.

In addition, a significant reduction in the team of the Area 120 incubator, which develops new products and services, as well as promoting the company's experimental projects, is reported (only three main projects will remain in the Area 120 division, and the rest will be curtailed). Details on how the reduction will affect other projects and divisions of Google are not yet available.
