You know that the UFO cares about you, don't you? Well, in any case, this is regularly reminded in the publications of the editorial department of Habr - news on near-political, near-scandalous and other near topics.
Let's find out how often editors use this standard "stub" and for which publications? We will also fulfill other wishes from the comments to the previous one. Habra detective about editors.
So, when do you, Habra-users, have “contradictory feelings” that you cannot contain and express in the comments? And most importantly, what causes them? Let's start our new investigation!
And since the topic of "UFO care" is quite interesting, I decided not to shelve it, but immediately use it.
Everyone's favorite stub
If it so happens that you never noticed this magical quote that attracts even more people to comment, then it looks like this:
A minute of care from a UFO
This material may have caused conflicting feelings, so before writing a comment, brush up on something important:
How to write a comment and survive - Do not write offensive comments, do not get personal.
- Refrain from obscene language and toxic behavior (even in a veiled form).
- To report comments that violate site rules, use the "Report" button (if available) or feedback form.
Usually it is found in publications about politics, legislation and everything that causes heated and not always correct discussions and subsequent karma whining.
Time Frame and Victims of the Study
The article published data for 2019 from January 1 to December 28 (it didn’t quite reach the end of the year, but there is usually little important news in the pre-holiday time).
The x-axis shows the time of day from 00:00 to 23:59 to the minute. The y-axis is the day of the year from January 1 to December 31, accurate to the day.
Each vertical bar defines the start of an hour (01:00, 02:00, etc.), each horizontal bar defines the start of a month (February 1, March 1, etc.). For convenience, every 3rd line on both axes is highlighted.
The color of the point is determined by the rating of the publication, however, it is expanded relative to the standard GWR for positive, neutral and negative ratings.
At first, I wanted to use Habr's rating gradation. The one that can be seen exclusively for their publications (> 30, > 10, > -1 and <-1), but he considered this insufficient. Details of the color palette under the spoiler. Obviously, it is redundant, but it adds some variety to the resulting image without reducing the information content.

Since absolute numbers are too vague in terms of UFOs, let's introduce a "care factor" which is defined as the ratio of publications with a UFO badge to the total number of publications.
For all 9 authors, the number of publications per year was 2 615. Like this (Fig. 2) they can be visualized in time and according to the rating. Accordingly, the care factor is equal to 8.16%.
Rice. 2. All publications. UTC
By the way, if you are wondering if there are really so few editorial publications gaining a negative rating, I remind you. Unlike comments, posts can be hidden in drafts. Therefore, statistics take into account only what is available on Habré at the moment.
Who causes the most UFOs?
You will not believe. Although no, personally I was sure of such a result.
I will not pull the cat for something that should not be, and I will say right away - this is alize. During this year he used the help of a UFO 87 once (Fig. 3). That is, on average, every 4.2 day. At the same time, he published 546 posts (Fig. 4), which gives an indicator of care in 15.93%.
Noticed, huh? alize be sure to rest at least 6 hours a day (exceptions are quite rare).
Silver
Expected second place goes to marks. And although he is not far behind with the result in 80 UFO stubs (on average every 4.56 days, Fig. 5), the total number of publications per year reaches 757 (Fig. 6). As a result, the indicator of concern for the reader is 10.57%.
August was clearly a holiday month. Well, everyone needs to rest. As evidenced by the daily 6-7 hours of rest from publications.
Bronze
On the 3rd place in today's race was one of the initiators of this publication - denis-19. Calling a UFO 25 once (Fig. 7), it provides us with a regular meeting with the higher Habra-power about once every 2 weeks (14.6 days).
Care indicator considering 351 publication per year is 7.21%. It is worth noting here that he did not start writing news at the beginning of the year. Therefore, this value is the lower bound.
If you've been counting, you might have noticed that all other authors account for only 5 UFO messages per year. Of them 2 on maybe_elf and 1 on Leonid_R, baragol и Annie Bronson. Since showing 5 dots in a 1440 x 365 pixel image is a little irrational, I will skip this image.
But all the publications of each author are given under spoilers. By the way, they published everything 761 post for this year.
Naturally, it is interesting to know what UFO is trying to protect Habr users from. Let's make a "word cloud" for the post titles. At first, I wanted to sort the list and not include irrelevant words, and also fix the number of occurrences of one word in different forms.
However, then I decided that it would not be interesting, since the quality of rendering the cloud directly depends on the number of unique words. By the way, the template was taken specifically close to the subject of the publication, and therefore you need to draw a UFO as high quality as possible.
For rendering, we used the first site that came across in Google issuance for the query "word cloud from text".
So, alize most called UFOs to protect against (Fig. 15):
And finally, the general cloud. It turned out almost perfectFig. 18):

Instead of a conclusion
Usually at the end of the publication I write some kind of rhetorical question and a couple of possible answers to it. But today, only one thing comes to mind:
Take care of the UFO and the UFO will take care of you.
Thank you for attention!
By the way, KDPV is a word cloud for this article (the final version of the text and markdown, before layout directly on Habré), with the exception of links to hsto.org.
PS If you find any typos or errors in the text, please let me know. This can be done by selecting a part of the text and clicking "Ctrl / ⌘ + Enter"if you have Ctrl / ⌘, either via private messages. If both options are not available, write about the errors in the comments. Thank you!
P.P.S Perhaps you will also be interested in my other studies of Habr, or you want to propose your topic for the next publication, or maybe even a new cycle of publications.
Where to find the list and how to make an offer
All information can be found in a special repository habr-detective. There you can also find out which proposals have already been voiced, and what is already in the works.
Also, you can mention me (by writing VaskivskyiYe) in the comments to a publication that you think is interesting for research or analysis. Thank you Lolohaev for this idea.
