Hideo Kojima would like to make a VR game, but he 'doesn't have the time'

Head of Kojima Productions studio Hideo Kojima gave an interview to Rocket Beans Gaming YouTube channel representatives. The conversation turned to the potential creation of a VR game. A well-known developer said that he would like to take on such a project, but he now "doesn't have enough time for it."

Hideo Kojima said: “I'm really interested in VR, but right now there's no way to be distracted by something like that. Of course, I would like to create such a game, but now there is no time to concentrate on virtual reality. However, the next direction for using VR may not be games, but other art, simulation or education. If such a development occurs, it will be a breakthrough.”

Perhaps in the foreseeable future, Hideo Kojima will present his own work for virtual reality. Horror fans would love to see something like PT in VR.

Kojima Productions' next game, Death Stranding, will be released November 8, 2019 on PS4, and in the summer of 2020 gets to PC.
