Subsequently, the platform and technologies from Intel and Sky Limit are planned to be used at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, the Paris 2024 Olympics, and a host of esports events in the near future. Intel and Sky Limit agreed to serve all these events together. In any case, mutual understanding on this issue has already been reached, at least in a framework form.

Without being distracted by marketing, we will clarify that Intel and Sky Limit plan to use computing platforms based on Intel Xeon and Core processors as the basis of VR / AR platforms for data processing, as well as other β€œblue” products. In general, the partners agreed on five aspects of cooperation. First, VR/AR solutions will be created with an eye on the operation of 5G networks. In particular, this means that the data will be dynamically distributed among the mass of wireless network segments for serious, in general, loads - rendering, compression, overlay, synchronization, and more. This will require serious optimization of management and client decisions.

The second aspect of cooperation will be the creation of tools for the release of panoramic (360-degree) VR / AR content for broadcasting sports events. We are talking about both software solutions and hardware, including system integration. For example, Intel plans to develop VR chairs and VR cameras for both watching sports and esports events, as well as any VR entertainment content.

The third point of the agreement between Intel and Sky Limit was the decision to create VR / AR platforms for virtual training of Olympic athletes. These are all kinds of sports simulators with virtual and augmented reality. Fourthly, all of the above will be directed to the broadcasting of computer sports.

The fifth point was the desire of Intel and Sky Limit to build a theme VR / AR park in Beijing near the Chinese company's campus. This park will accompany the Beijing Winter 2022 Olympic Games as a virtual training center for athletes, but in the future it will turn into a center for VR/AR broadcasting and eSports events in the Chinese capital.
