German electronics retail chain Mediamarkt-Saturn has released a PlayStation 5 concept video showing the console and DualShock 5 controller. The renders are intended to show which German retailer would like to see Sony's next-generation console. The final design of the PlayStation 5 will likely be very different from what is shown in this video.
However, the trailer is interesting as it includes some interesting features and functions like the wireless charging of the DualShock 5 controller or the touch display on the top of the controller (it's quite possible that this information is based on some information available to the store, and not just my own ideas) . Among the features of the console concept are two USB-C ports, a fast 2TB SSD, a Zen 2-based processor and Ryzen RDNA graphics with hardware support for ray tracing (officially announced), improved vibration feedback, self-adjusting triggers, Blu-Ray 4K support, backwards compatible with games for all previous generations of PlayStation consoles.
All this is shown at the very beginning of the video (in German). Next, Mediamarkt-Saturn staff discuss past PS5 leaks, including the developer kit that was posted earlier by Let's Go Digital, and other rumors and speculation. It is worth noting that we are talking about the largest electronics network in Europe: the company is headquartered in Germany, and the number of retail and online stores in 15 European countries exceeds 1000.
