Video service Megogo has launched a new business direction - Megogo Audio. This section will include audio content other than music. Since December 3, service users have the opportunity to listen to audiobooks from leading Russian publishers and podcasts on various topics.
At the first stage, Megogo's audio section will include about 5000 audiobooks of various genres. Most of them will be free for service subscribers. Some books will be offered at prices starting from 75 rubles.
Over the next few months, the video service plans to update the catalog with new books every day. There are already cooperation agreements with such large Russian publishing houses as Eksmo, Alpina, Azbuka-Atticus, Ardis and others.
In addition, Megogo will offer self-produced podcasts on various topics, including stories about phenomena, various phenomena, and famous people. There are currently 100 free episodes available to users.
The Megogo audio section is available for Android mobile devices, and in a few weeks users of iOS gadgets will have access to it. In the future, the company plans to introduce several more audio formats.
