Huawei mobile ecosystem has 45 apps

After the US government added Huawei to the so-called "black list", Google ended its cooperation with the Chinese telecommunications giant. This means that new Huawei smartphones will not use Google services and applications. Although the Chinese company can still use the Android software platform in its smartphones, Google apps like Gmail, Play Store, Chrome or YouTube can no longer be installed on them.

Huawei mobile ecosystem has 45 apps

Although Huawei has created its own operating system, HarmonyOS, which can be used in mobile devices, this is not enough. In order to somehow try to compete with Google, the Chinese company needs to form a full-fledged application ecosystem around its own OS. Huawei already has an analogue of Google Mobile Services, which is called Huawei Mobile Services. A few days ago, public testing of Huawei Mobile Services began in China.

However, it is too early to talk about full-fledged competition with Google. At the moment, there are about 45 applications in the Huawei ecosystem, while the digital content store Google Play Store hosts about 3 million software products. Despite this, Huawei continues to actively work in a given direction, attracting developers around the world to its side. Already, about 1 million developers are creating applications for the Huawei ecosystem. The Chinese company actively supports content creators. One of the steps in this direction was the creation of an incentive fund in the amount of $ 1 billion, which is designed to stimulate developers to create quality products.
