Since 2018, the international DeTOP initiative has united the efforts of medical research organizations from Sweden, Italy, Switzerland and the UK. Its goal is to create a bionic prosthetic arm that is sufficiently agile in terms of fine motor skills, integrated in the patient’s forearm, which allows feedback on a number of sensations.
