Oil giant BP will buy 250 kW electric vehicle charging from Tesla for $100 million

Oil and gas giant BP will become the first company to buy DC fast charging equipment from Tesla for use in its network of charging stations. The initial deal will be worth $100 million. BP Pulse, a dedicated electric vehicle charging division, plans to invest up to $1 billion to create a nationwide network of charging stations in the United States by 2030, with $500 million of that to be invested over the next three years.
