New releases of I2P anonymous network 0.9.42 and i2pd 2.28 C++ client

Available anonymous network release I2P 0.9.42 and C++ client i2pd 2.28.0. Recall that I2P is a multi-layer anonymous distributed network operating on top of the regular Internet, actively using end-to-end encryption, which guarantees anonymity and isolation. On the I2P network, you can anonymously create websites and blogs, send instant messages and e-mails, exchange files, and organize P2P networks. The basic I2P client is written in Java and can run on a wide range of platforms such as Windows, Linux, macOS, Solaris, etc. I2pd is an independent C++ implementation of the I2P client and is distributed under a modified BSD license.

In the I2P 0.9.42 release, work continues to speed up the implementation of UDP transport and improve the reliability of encryption methods used in I2P. In preparation for splitting the distribution into separate modules, i2ptunnel.config settings are distributed across several configuration files associated with different tunnel classes. Implemented the ability to block connections from networks with other identifiers (Cross-network prevention). Debian packages have been updated to support the Buster release.

i2pd 2.28.0 implements support for RAW datagrams and "\r\n" command separators in the SAM (Simple Anonymous Messaging) protocol, provides the ability to disable optimizations to save battery power on the Android platform, adds verification of network identifiers, implements the processing and publication of encryption flags in LeaseSet2, the correct processing of entries with signatures in the address book is ensured.
