Debian 12.2 and 11.8 update

The second corrective update of the Debian 12 distribution has been generated, which includes accumulated package updates and eliminates shortcomings in the installer. The release includes 117 updates to fix stability issues and 52 updates to fix vulnerabilities.

Among the changes in Debian 12.2, we can note the update to the latest stable versions of the clamav, dbus, dpdk, gtk+3.0, mariadb, mutt, nvidia-settings, openssl, qemu, rar, roundcube, samba and systemd packages. The https-everywhere package has been removed, as this browser add-on has been declared obsolete by the developers due to the integration of similar functionality into major browsers.

For downloading and installation from scratch, installation assemblies with Debian 12.2 will be prepared in the coming hours. Previously installed systems that are kept up to date receive the updates included in Debian 12.2 through the standard update installation system. Security fixes included in new Debian releases are made available to users as updates are released through security.debian.org.

At the same time, a new release of the previous stable branch of Debian 11.8 is available, which includes 94 updates to fix stability problems and 115 updates to fix vulnerabilities. The packages atlas-cpp, ember-media, eris, libwfut, mercator, nomad, nomad-driver-lxc, skstream, varconf and wfmath have been removed from the repository due to the abandoned or unstable state of the main projects. The clamav, dbus, dkimpy, dpdk, mariadb-10.5, nvidia-graphics-drivers, openssl, rar, rust-cbindgen, rustc-mozilla and xen packages have been updated to the latest stable versions.
