Roshydromet will receive 1,6 billion rubles. to support the performance of a supercomputer and the development of a domestic weather forecast system for aviation

According to RBC, in 2024–2026. Roshydrometcenter will receive 1,6 billion rubles. to support the operation of the supercomputer and the area forecast system for domestic aviation based on it, which will replace the foreign SADIS area forecast system. At the end of February 2023, Russia was disconnected from this system, but a few days later a domestic alternative became operational. SADIS (Secure Aviation Data Information Service) operates under the auspices of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and is operated by the UK. The system provides weather forecasts for a range of parameters and is used in 116 countries for international air navigation. Russian carriers and government officials say the outage did not cause problems for the industry. Russian airlines had not previously used SADIS in its pure form, receiving information from Roshydromet structures, but SADIS was more economical because it better took into account fuel consumption and flight time.
