The WhatsApp app for Windows Phone is no longer available in the Microsoft Store

Microsoft has long announced the end of support for the Windows Phone software platform. A few days before, the developers of the popular WhatsApp messenger decided to remind users of this.

The WhatsApp app for Windows Phone is no longer available in the Microsoft Store

Last year, it became known that support for the WhatsApp application for Windows Phone and Windows Mobile would be discontinued after December 31, 2019. Now, the app has disappeared from the official Microsoft Store digital content store. This means that owners of Windows Mobile-based devices will no longer be able to download the popular messenger from the official store.

It is worth saying that users who have already installed WhatsApp on Windows Phone will be able to use the messenger for a few more days, and after January 14 it will stop working. The developers recommend that users switch to using devices running Android and iOS software platforms. Earlier it was announced that soon the WhatsApp messenger will not be supported on older versions of Android and iOS. Android 2.3.7, iOS 8 and older platforms will no longer be supported by WhatsApp on February 1 this year.
