Gearbox Publishing and Hopoo Games have announced that third-person roguelike shooter Risk of Rain 2 has sold over one million copies. The game was released on March 28 in early access .
Interestingly, it took almost five years for the original Risk of Rain to achieve the same result on Steam. Hopoo Games co-founders Paul Morse and Duncan Drummond spoke about this.
The studio also previously revealed its plan for adding content to Risk of Rain 2. Starting in June, new survivors, levels, bosses, items, equipment, and more will be added to the game. Skills 2.0 is expected to be added in the summer, hidden worlds in the fall, and Artifacts 2.0 in the winter. In the spring of 2020, the developers plan to release the release version of the project. Hopoo Games is currently working on official support for the Russian language in Risk of Rain 2 and fixing various bugs, including problems with the appearance of monsters and Internet connection.
