This will allow more games like Until Dawn, but with an appeal to different subspecies of the horror genre. Until Dawn producer Dan McDonald talked about another problem that Supermassive Games would face when creating a sequel. In the first part, players were given complete freedom of choice and many endings. Because of this, it is almost impossible to determine the canonical ending from which to build on the continuation. And creating the second part, taking into account the choices made by each user in the previous game, is too difficult.

Supermassive Games is currently working on Man of Medan, the first part of The Dark Pictures anthology. It should be released before the end of 2019 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
