Russian technology will help organize communication in extreme conditions

The Ruselectronics holding, part of the Rostec state corporation, has developed a technology that will allow the deployment of communication networks for guaranteed data transmission in the most unfavorable conditions.

The proposed solution reportedly makes it possible to create data transmission channels that are resistant to interruptions and delays. The communication network can operate in the presence of power shortages, weak signals and interference. Moreover, such a network will not be afraid of extreme climatic conditions.

The system provides a high probability of message delivery due to the possibility of intermediate storage of messages in nodes until the desired channel is activated.

The network can be built using any available resources and communication channels. At the same time, there are essentially no minimum requirements for data transfer speed: connections with a bandwidth of 0,01 bit/s can be used.

Network segments can be built using "roaming" routers installed, for example, in cars, submarines or spacecraft in low Earth orbits.

It is assumed that the new technology will find application in both military and civilian spheres. The solution can be used where there is no or underdeveloped telecommunications infrastructure, in conditions of shortage of communication means and power supplies.
