The data presented takes into account revenue in six key segments. These are TV channels, online cinemas, pay TV operators (allowing you to consume content, including through specialized websites), digital distribution platforms, social networks, and aggregators/infoservices.

So, it is reported that the total revenue of the market of legal video services from the provision of services in Russia in 2018 amounted to 24,86 billion rubles without VAT. For comparison: a year earlier, this figure was 15,89 billion rubles.

Analysts note that the industry has been increasing growth rates in rubles for the third year in a row. If in 2016 the growth was 32% compared to 2015, then in 2017 it was already 42%, and in 2018 it was 56% at all.

In the overall structure of revenues in the market of legal video services in Russia, the lion's share - 54,9% - falls on online cinemas. Social networks control 13,6% of the industry.

In 2018, the advertising model showed an increase of 53%, and all paid models grew by 62% compared to 2017.

Between 2019 and 2022, the CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) in the legal video services market is projected at 24%. By 2022, total revenues from providing users with legal video will reach 58,7 billion rubles, excluding VAT.
