Sony may again miss the biggest video game show E3

Video Games Chronicle опубликовал analysis of the marketing approach of the PlayStation 5. According to the publication, Sony Interactive Entertainment will show the console at a special event, which may take place as early as next month. As far as Pakter and several anonymous sources know, the platformer will miss E3 2020.

“As far as I know, she is not going to attend,” Michael Pakter said of Sony Interactive Entertainment’s presence at E3 2020. “ […] I think this is a huge mistake, since her “consumer focus” does not contradict her presence at the industry’s main exhibition . I hope she changes her mind, but I'm skeptical."

Sony may again miss the biggest video game show E3

Last year, after announcing that the company will not participate in E3 2019, Sony Interactive Entertainment held State of Play presentations. While the publisher has so far refrained from discussing the PlayStation 5 on them (to the point of continually announcing no news about the console up front), it's entirely possible that Sony will follow Nintendo's lead and reveal major announcements in a special State of Play edition.
