What's new
This summer in our blog on HabrΓ© we and shared their alumni career development experiences. These materials contributed to the course of the admission campaign this year - more than four thousand people applied for the magistracy, and more than twelve thousand people wishing to start their studies in the bachelor's and specialist's programs.
This year, more graduates from other universities (not only from ITMO University) from different cities of Russia entered our masterβs program, and for the initial stages of the educational process (bachelorβs), we noted an increase in the average USE score to 92,7. This is 2,5 points more than last year. But many - winners of olympiads and competitions (like ours ) - managed to bypass the need to pass entrance examinations, and also - from the first day of training, more than seven hundred people will receive .
Gennady is one of our renowned PhD students and a two-time winner - once again became the best of several tens of thousands of Google Code Jam participants. With him ITMO University graduates Boris Minaev and Evgeny Kap.
More than four thousand universities located in different parts of the world took part in the study on the basis of which this rating was compiled. The methodology took into account scientific publications in journals indexed by the Web of Science database. To rank universities, scientific articles were tied to fifty-four subject areas: from "Electronics and Electrical Engineering" to "Automation and Control". We managed to improve our position in several of the areas of expertise presented and maintain high results in a number of others. The leaders among the countries whose universities occupy the top in most subject areas are the United States and China.

We have prepared a special event for children, their parents and teachers. This is a thematic festival, which will include a series of educational competitions, quizzes and seminars with the participation of representatives of design bureaus, robotic laboratories, information centers of energy enterprises and young innovative companies.

This is our main event for everyone who is preparing to join the ITMO University community β freshmen and those who have entered our Masterβs and PhD programs from other universities. We will hold an open-air where we will talk about student projects, open a sports ground, and raffle prizes for participants of ITMO.GO! and provide access to thematic information sections: from "MASTER'S STUDIES" to "ITMO INTERNATIONAL" and "ALUMNI", where it will be possible to discuss the educational process and the career path of our graduates.
3. "INTRODUCTION DAYS" for undergraduate and graduate freshmen

The purpose of holding special orientation days is to give maximum information about the opportunities that we provide at ITMO University. In order to make such an event really interesting, we hold it in the format of an interactive "quest" on the "stations" of our university - "ITMO.LOVE", "Teambuilding", "Science", "Global" and others.
We will tell the undergraduates of the first year of study about the intricacies of the educational process and how to make it most effective. In addition, we have prepared real pitch sessions by our scientists who will help you figure out the choice of areas of interest for career development and tell you how to become part of teams of international laboratories and go on internships.

We recommend participation in the competition to students, graduate students and young scientists who would like to receive a grant in the amount of 500 thousand rubles to implement their idea.
