Over five years ago, Sony left this region under the pressure of circumstances and crisis phenomena in the world and in Japan, and in 2014 it completely sold the business of developing and selling computers into the hands of Japan Industrial Partners (JIP). Thus, a new PC manufacturer Vaio Corporation was born. A year later, Vaio Corporation entered two international markets, one in North America and the other in South America. Four more years have passed since then, and today Vaio Corporation announced its return to Europe.

As reported in the company's official press release, from April 18, new VAIO branded laptop models will be available in six European countries: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, England, the Netherlands and Sweden. In the future, the list of VAIO's presence in Europe will be gradually expanded. Including operations in Asia and Japan, the VAIO brand will return to XNUMX global marketplaces.

In Europe, the German company TrekStor GmbH will be responsible for the production, sales and service of VAIO notebooks. The first VAIO models in the European market will be one of last year's product - VAIO SX14 - and a new model VAIO A12. Model VAIO SX14, depending on the configuration, costs in the US from $1300 to $1500. It is armed with a 14-inch 4K display and can carry an Intel Core i7 processor. The system can have up to 16 GB of memory and up to 1 TB SSD.

The VAIO A12 is a 12,5-inch convertible ultra-light laptop. The processor can be either Celeron 3965Y or more powerful up to i7-8500Y. The memory capacity is up to 16 GB, and the SSD can also be in capacities from hundreds of GB to 1 TB. The issue price in Japan reaches $2100. This is a completely new model, intended for sales in 2019.
