Valve has denied rumors about the development of a new game based on the Left 4 Dead universe

“We've seen a lot of rumors in the last couple of months. A few years ago we were actually thinking about a Left 4 Dead sequel for the next generation of consoles. But now we can say for sure: we are not working on projects related to L4D, and have not been doing so for several years.

Some people have fun and make up information to alarm the community and the media. Unfortunately, there is no new L4D in development right now,” a company representative told IGN.
