The team at Impeller Studios, which includes developers of games such as Crysis and Star Wars: X-Wing, has been working on creating a multiplayer space simulator for some time. Recently, the developers presented the final title of their project - In The Black. It is deliberately somewhat ambiguous and symbolizes both space and profit: the name can be translated either β€œInto the Dark” or β€œWithout Loss.” A corresponding trailer was presented for this occasion:

At the same time, a video appeared on the NVIDIA channel in which the developers talk about how In The Black will receive support for GeForce RTX ray tracing. In addition, they report that this year, those interested will finally be able to try out a realistic space simulator, created with an eye on avid gamers, as part of an upcoming beta test. Those interested can leave a request on the game website.

Impeller Studios reports that it is creating its multiplayer action game in the Unreal Engine 4 with an eye on gaming platforms and next-generation virtual reality helmets. Space simulator started as a project on Kickstarter in March 2017 - the required amount was collected, and since then active development has been underway.
