Grimlore Games and THQ Nordic continue to reveal details about the standalone add-on SpellForce 3: Soul Harvest, which will be released on May 28th. The new trailer introduces players to another new faction - the Dwarves.
In the video, accompanied by a demonstration of huge and rich dungeons, powerful fortifications and armies, one of the gnomes, as if in mockery, addresses his rivals: βOh no! Have you come for our moon silver? Have mercy, we beg you! How can our humble walls stand against your mighty battering rams? They will collapse faster than we can think of bringing down the flames on your heads! And our poor sentries with their crossbows - what will they do against the onslaught of your cavalry? And let's be honest: when did a berserker's ax turn out to be stronger than human swords? No, gracious lady, there are only a handful of drunken gnomes who do not deserve attention. So if you want our silver, come and take it!"
Like SpellForce 3 itself, the add-on is a mixture of RPG and real-time strategy. The passage of Soul Harvest will take approximately 20 hours. Set three years after the Wars of the Righteous, Northander is on the threshold of a new era, but all is not well. The queen calls the player to their homeland, where they have to wage war on several fronts: in the lands of the gnomes, power has passed to a populist who incites anger and hatred in his subjects, a mysterious cult of dark elves for some reason collects people's souls...
In total, 5 factions will be available: humans, orcs, elves, dwarves and dark elves. The last two are addition innovations. Promised optimizations, a redesigned interface, as well as changes to the gameplay: new sector-based strategic mechanics with an emphasis on resource allocation and unique faction features. There will be flying troops, new abilities, skill trees and new heroes.
