Among other things, the developers said that they are working with historians to make sure that the details of the game are as reliable as possible.
But at the same time, Humankind is also largely devoted to alternative history. What if the Roman Empire still existed? What if the samurai met the Babylonians? These scenarios in the game can be triggered from given historical blocks. The player will be able to create their own civilization by selecting and mixing 60 different cultures.
