The release of Tails 5.5 (The Amnesic Incognito Live System), a specialized distribution kit based on the Debian package base and designed for anonymous access to the network, has been released. Anonymous exit to Tails is provided by the Tor system. All connections, except traffic through the Tor network, are blocked by default by the packet filter. Encryption is used to store user data in the save user data between runs mode. An iso image has been prepared for download, capable of working in Live mode, with a size of 1 GB.
The new version uses the Linux 5.10.140 kernel, improved support for new graphics cards and wireless devices. Tor Browser has been updated to release 11.5.4, which includes security fixes carried over from Firefox ESR 102.3. The wget utility is ensured that it uses a different Tor chain each time it is run. The Thunderbird mail client has been updated to branch 102.
