Today, on January 19, the next release of Qucs-S-0.0.22 was released. Qucs-S is a fork of the Qucs project and, unlike the original, allows you to use not only the built-in modeling engine, but also external Ngspice and XYCE. This allows you to use ready-made SPICE models of electronic components bypassing compatibility layers and achieve better speed and stability of the simulator. The project is written in C++ using a set of Qt4 libraries.
List of changes:
- Added the SPICEINIT component, which allows you to set additional settings for Ngspice;
- Bugs fixed;
Details and links to packages for Debian, Ubuntu and CentOS can be found on the release page.
